I saw the Blindfold Mask. 2 things that kept bothering me about it was 1) It's described as looking like a Firekeeper helm and nothing else in the game adds onto it (even so) and 2) I didn't remember how I got it. I looked information technology up, remembered I actually killed the Moaning Knight at one betoken, and then put together that the "Moaning Knight" was actually Eygon, Irina's asshole caretaker. Same fit, and Eygon is the only person who uses the Moaning Shield in the game. Calculation on to that, when y'all talk to Irina she mentions she wanted to be a Firekeeper (fifty-fifty having a questline associated with that goal). EVEN Further ON TOP when you meet her she mentions that she feels the darkness eating away at her. What does the Blindfold Mask practise? Profoundly increases dark damage while giving yous a MASSIVE night absorption debuff. with AALLL that put together, it's safe to assume that the Blindfold Mask is, in fact, Irinas. The mask even says in that location were center holes which meant Irina wasn't always blind. - This does really kinda requite a signal to Eygon.. he'due south an asshole when yous meet him but he still kept that mask with him, even when you lot find him (nigh likely hollowed now that he has no purpose since Irina is in your intendance) in the ringed city.
