Argh, having a sudden panic about packing for next week. DD wants to wear one of her billion princess dresses when we do the princess lunch at Auberge, which is fine. But I'm wondering if I should pack more of her dresses for her to wear for the other days we're there. Are they impractical on the rides, does anybody know?! I'm thinking I should remove the hoops at least, to stop the front half of the dress sticking up when she sits down. I suppose she could wear tights and a vest under dresses to keep her warm but wondering if they'll get in the way on the rides etc.
Anybody got any experience of this?!

If her dresses are big enough might be worth putting a full on outfit underneath (jeans, jumper etc)

DD wore her Belle dress in the park last year but wore it over other clothes some days or others I had a set of clothes in a bag as she ended up not wanting to wear it all the time.
I cant remember it getting in the way on rides at all

If she wants to wear a princess dress in the parks, she certainly won't be the only one - lots of girls and boys dress up to go on the rides etc. I would take the hoops out of the dresses though - as you say, thats what makes the dress less practical.
My DD usually has her Jasmine costume with her, this time she took her witches costume, and wore that one whole day.

My two girls wore there dresses most days in the summer, even with the hoops in! No problems with getting on rides at all. They loved all the attention they got
I will probably get tights or leggings and a nice warm cardi for when we are going in 2 weeks time so they can make use of the dresses again

Kyra wore her Belle dress with the hoop in and did fine on all the rides. She wore jeans underneath her dress and leggings another day.

even the security bag check people bowed and called her Princess
OK, that just made me cry
Thanks everybody, good to know that it won't be a problem on the rides. I had packed just one dress and then normal clothes for the rest of the time but I suppose I'd better repack her entire wardrobe now They just take up so much more room than regular clothes and I'm already worried about how we're going to carry everything on the journey. Jeans under the dress is a great idea - that will be better than tights.
Goodness me, it was all so much easier last time we went, when she'd never even heard of Disney Princesses

My DD was totally confused first time she wore her Jasmine outfit in the parks, as loads of CM's were calling her "Princess Sheharazad (sp)" - I'm guessing thats what Jasmine is known as in France
. She's used to it now though lol.

I think Kyra would find that confusing if she ever wore her Jasmine dress.

DD was delighted on one occasion when she wore her Belle dress and Sleeping Beauty walked past her and said "Bonjour Belle"

Ok, if I'm getting so emotional just reading things like this then what am I going to be like if it actually happens to DD?

What beautiful photos of all your DDs.
Unfortunately my youngest DD has finally grown out of wearing hers but it's lovely seeing all your little Princesses in theirs.
